Primal Weapons bid goodbye to the island in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7

Based upon all the evidence available to us, Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 will have a futuristic theme. But that isn't the best part.

The crafting mechanic brought a new dimension to Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6. Based on the kind of components you had, you could either craft yourself a mechanical weapon or a primal weapon. However, all that is set to change.

What happens to the primal weapons in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7?

According to Fortnite data miner Hypex, the primal theme and its related components will vanish from the game in the next season.

This totally makes sense because the next season will follow a futuristic theme, and there's no place for primal items in the future. The primal weapons didn't sit too well with the community either, so it's a blessing that the weapons are being removed as well.

Hypex has also mentioned that there was more to the next season. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 will make up for the dullness that the current season brought to the table from the looks of it.

There's a high chance that Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 will also receive an event at the very beginning of the season. The event will possibly show the transition between the primal theme and the futuristic theme.

There's a high chance that Jimmy Russo of Avengers fame will be directing the cinematic for this event as well. Given what we've seen from his previous endeavors, we won't be disappointed at all.

That being said, the crafting mechanic will be present in the game for the most part. The crafting mechanic was actually a good addition. Thanks to crafting, we no longer have to offer a sacrifice to the RNG gods for a good weapon in Fortnite.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of weapons we'll see in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7. If we do get the futuristic weapons, there's a chance we'll have new crafting recipes as well.
