Final Fantasy Theme And Other Game Music Graces The Tokyo 2020 Olympics Opening Ceremony


The Final Fantasy theme and a number of other pieces of video game music originating from Japan has made an appearance during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games opening ceremony.

Played as the athletes from the 205 competing countries walked out into the arena, the Final Fantasy Victory Fanfare theme was joined by a number of other Square Enix titles, such as Dragon Quest's Introduction: Lotto Theme, NieR's Initiator track, and Kingdom Heart's Olympus Coliseum piece.
