Do The Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters Look Better Than The Original Games?

Fans went crazy when Square Enix announced Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters for the first six games in the series, especially since it came after an overly long look at Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

Do The Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters Look Better Than The Original Games?

Though Square Enix hasn’t released a ton of images for the game, RPG Site has compared how the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters compare to the original games and other re-releases.

From what can be seen below, it appears that the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters are aiming to capture the sprites of the SNES and NES games, which are much nicer than the mobile ports but aren’t as pretty as the PSP and PSOne ports of these classics.

It’s a step in the right direction and we’re down for these classic Final Fantasy re-releases, especially if they end up hitting consoles like the Nintendo Switch.

Steam players are probably happy that they’re getting all this Final Fantasy love, especially with the revamped sprites, but it wouldn’t kill Square Enix to release these on the Nintendo Switch.

Until that’s announced, having them on Steam and Mobile is a solid enough move from Square Enix and might ensure that mobile players will get to play them.

As of this writing, there is no release date for the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters for the first six games, but we’re sure Square Enix will announce that soon.
