FIFA 22 Ratings Collective: Liverpool Stars Handed Significant Downgrades

FIFA 22's ratings have started to be revealed, and whilst there is good news for the likes of Lionel Messi and Gianluiggi Donnarumma, it's not such fun down on Merseyside.

The top-rated Liverpool players in FIFA 22 have been revealed, and there are some significant downgrades in the mix.

Here is what we know about Liverpool in FIFA 22.

No More 90's

Liverpool's squad in FIFA 21 was one of the most popular due to their range of abilities all across the pitch.

With 90-rated scattered between defence and attack, there was no significant areas of vulnerability within Liverpool's starting eleven, which made them a popular selection in Kick-Off and Online Seasons.

But despite having four players rated 90 or above in FIFA 21, nobody at Anfield can claim their spot in the elusive 90 Club on FIFA 22, with their standout stars downgraded after an underwhelming Premier League title defence.

Mohammed Salah (89 OVR)

Despite Liverpool's lack of silverware last season, many would have said that Mohammed Salah had a successful campaign.

But unfortunately for the Egyptian, EA Sports saw things differently and have opted to downgrade the Liverpool winger to an 89 OVR. His card isn't bad by any means, but it seems a rather harsh decision from EA nevertheless.

Virgil Van Dijk (89 OVR)

Another player who has a right to feel a little hard done by is Virgil Van Dijk.

The Dutch centre back missed the vast majority of the 2020/21 campaign through injury, with the ratings team deeming that enough to warrant a downgrade on his 90 OVR from FIFA 21.

Despite his downgrade, VVD will remain the top-rated Premier League defender.

Sadio Mane (89 OVR)

Sadio Mane has also seen his rating downgraded by one rating, with his pace taking the biggest hit of the lot.

He'll still be pretty quick with his 91-rated pace, but with 83-rated shooting he won't be as clinical in front of goal as he once was.

Alisson Becker (89 OVR)

Finally, Liverpool's number one Allison Becker will be an 89 OVR in FIFA 22.

It was an underwhelming season for the Brazilian, who made a number on uncharacteristic errors in what was a difficult season for the highly talented goalkeeper.

His rating will be back on the up as the year goes on, but for the beginning of the FIFA 22 campaign, he will be an 89 OVR.
