Career Mode saves can be a struggle, especially if you don't equip yourself with the correct players for the long road ahead.
The best way to do so is by looking at those who are at the beginning of their career and thus, will be able to play a pivitol role in your career for many a season.
Goalkeepers are often overlooked by CM managers but believe us, it's worth picking up a young stopper for your side.
Here are the best young goalkeepers on FIFA 22.
And if you haven't already got yourself a copy, you can buy FIFA 22 here.
Best Young Goalkeepers
For the purpose of this article, we'll be selecting goalkeepers that are aged 23 or younger at the beginning of your save.
We will be ranking these players based on their highest potential in order to ensure that the players we are recommending are the best long-term options.
With that in mind, here are the best young goalkeepers to go and sign in FIFA 22.
Gianluigi Donnarumma (OVR 89 ➡ POT 93)
Given that he's been around the game for so long, many forget that Gianluigi Donnarumma is still just 22-years-old.
He's also the best long term goalkeeping option by far, being the only keeper under the age of 23 that has the potential to get to the 90 club.
You won't be able to sign him in your first season due to his recent move to PSG, and with a value of over £100M, we question whether or not he's worth the investment.
Maarten Vandevoord (OVR 71 ➡ POT 87)
If you're happy to take the short term hit when it comes to base rating, then you could look at Genk's Maarten Vandevoordt.
The Belgian teenager has a value of under £4M, but has the potential to rise to an 87 OVR.
He would make a great cup keeper for any Premier League side, or the perfect number one for those lower down the leagues looking to work their way into the big time.
Lautaro Morales (OVR 72 ➡ POT 85)
Another player who fits the bill for those looking for a long term investment is Club Atletico's Argentine stopper, Lautaro Morales.
The 21-year-old begins life as a 72 OVR but has the potential to rise to a modest 85 OVR.
With a value of around £4M and a weekly wage of just £5, Morales looks a safe bet for anyone around the Championship level.
Andriy Lunin (OVR 74 ➡ POT 85)
The fourth player in this list is Ukranian youngster, Andriy Lunin.
Now Lunin is one we'd avoid as his current employers - Real Madrid - have set his valuation far too high, at an estimted £7M.
We'd steer clear of the Ukranian, though if you're contemplating a Real Madrid save, make sure you give him minutes.
Illan Meslier (OVR 77 ➡ POT 85)
Completing the top five young goalkeepers in FIFA 22's Career Mode is Leeds United's Illan Meslier.
Again, like Lunin, there are much cheaper options if you're looking for a goalkeeper to break through the ranks, though Meslier's 77 OVR makes him a safe option for those who need an instant number one.
Taking Leeds back to the top of the English game sounds like quite the challenge to us, and with Meslier between the sticks, you'll be set for the long haul
