It's been quite the seven days for Chelsea and England starlet, Mason Mount.

The 22-year-old was named in Gareth Southgate's 23 man squad for this summers European Championships just days after picking up the UEFA Champions League trophy with his boyhood club, Chelsea.

But the fun doesn't stop there for Mason, who has been making significant movements on the virtual pitch too, as he becomes the first ever Brand Ambassador for Combat Gaming.

Who are Combat Gaming?

Combat Gaming are an entertainment, gaming and media company which organises and hosts premiere celebrity gaming events.

Combat Gaming have hosted events in FIFA, Fortnite and Call of Duty so far, with Mount competing in all three.

MM X Combat

Mason Mount is known for his love of gaming, and as we have already mentioned, he is no stranger to the Combat Gaming scene.

Jonathan Kark, CEO of Combat Gaming’s parent company 38 Entertainment Group, is delighted to welcome Mason to the team:

“We are delighted to welcome Mason to the Combat family. Mason is one of the most exciting football personalities on and off the pitch in the world today. His passion for gaming made this a natural fit and we are excited to have him representing our brand.”

As part of his role as the first ever CG Brand Ambassador, it has been confirmed that Mount will host a flagship video game show which will be broadcast on Ginx TV.

The show is due to land later this summer, and will showcase the Chelsea favourite's passion for gaming.

No Room For Rice

The friendship between Mason Mount and Declan Rice is one which is well publicised, with the two having come through Chelsea's youth ranks together.

Although despite being lifelong friends, Mount took no shame in revealing that there is no room for the West Ham man in his Ultimate Team XI:

"Dec would not be in my FIFA Ultimate Team. He would understand it… It’s got some Icons in, and I feel his card at the moment is not gonna fit in my team. He’d be on the bench… Or maybe reserves. (laughs)”
