TEAM VITALITY JOINS SEASON 3 OF THE ELITE SERIES

Gfinity is proud to announce that French esports superstars Team Vitality will be joining the Elite Series for Season 3.

We recently announced that the Elite Series would be expanding from eight to ten teams in Season 3, with our first addition being London's own Fnatic. Now, Gfinity is happy to announce that French esports superstars Team Vitality will be joining the Elite Series when it gets underway early next year. They will battle it out against world class teams including the recently announced Fnatic, Team Envy and Elite Series Season 2 franchise winners Reason Gaming. With a trophy cabinet already bursting with silverware, including the FIFA Ultimate Team World Championship this year, Team Vitality pushes the quality of Elite Series competition even higher. Currently ranked third in the European Call of Duty Pro points standings, Team Vitality has already made a name for itself globally and the experienced team will bring a wealth of talent to the Gfinity Esports Arena in London next year.

Team Vitality began its rise to the top by forming a League of Legends team in December 2015 as its first expansion into PC gaming and it is one of the top competitors within the EU LCS. The French organisation will soon unveil its 2018 LoL roster under the direction of coach Jacob ‘YamatoCannon’ Mebdi.

Nicolas Maurer, CEO at Team Vitality said: “Team Vitality is thrilled to join the Gfinity Elite Series in London. The Elite Series has proven itself to be a world-class tournament and we welcome the opportunity to discover new european talent. Our strategy is to participate in every Major League tournament in Europe and we hope to see our teams perform, our fans captivated and our partners live esports as we do.”

“As the Elite Series fanbase grows significantly from series to series, we are challenging ourselves to showcase the best global esports talent and we are delighted to welcome Team Vitality,” said Neville Upton, CEO, Gfinity plc. “Not only are we signing the top french organisation, we are giving the best amateur gamers the chance to play alongside their heroes via the Gfinity Challenger Series which launches on January 8th.”
