We recently announced an eSports extravaganza at EGX 2015 and today we’re confirming the Virgin Media Gaming Hexathlon. Players, both old and new, will be able to qualify online from 11th August to 19th September on www.gfinity.net/virginmedia.
The finalists will then compete in live tournaments held at EGX where one finalist will be crowned the Hexathlon Champion. He or she will receive £5,000 in cash, plus a free Virgin Media ‘Big Daddy’ package for a year. It’s going to be mental!
The six games that form the tournament are FIFA15, Super Smash Brothers, Hearthstone, Smite, Heroes of the Storm and Destiny, with the final stages being held at EGX.
The Hexathlon Final will take place on the Sunday, at the NEC in Birmingham from 24th-27th September, where all 10 finalists will be required to play all six games with the top scorer winning the grand prize.
