Gfinity and Futhead announce partnership

Are you ready for the newest season of FIFA Ultimate Team?

In partnership with Futhead, the world’s leading FIFA Ultimate Team community website and online database, we are over the moon to launch the first and only global FIFA 16 eSports schedule.

As one of the largest and most active communities on Gfinity, we have strived to improve and aid the growth of Ultimate Team and FIFA within the eSports world. As a result, we have pioneered some of the industry’s biggest achievements, aided the creation of a new dynasty and uncovered some of the best Ultimate Team players in the world.

Today, we’re excited to announce a new era for Ultimate Team, as we officially launch the ‘Futhead Cups’; one for Europe plus another one for North and South America.

Launching on 10th June, Gfinity.net will play host to six weekly cups, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, across both Europe and The America’s (North and South). All Futhead Cups will be completely free to enter, you simply need to register for a free Gfinity account. Alternatively, you can also download our exclusive Xbox One Application, Tournament Builder, from the Xbox Live Marketplace and participate via your Xbox One.

A full schedule, including a regional prize pool breakdown, can be found below.

Sam Van Tilburgh, Head of Marketing at Gfinity Plc said: “This is a really exciting time for global FIFA 16 fans. We found with the ‘Play Like a Legend’ Championship presented by Xbox that there is a huge appetite for competitive FIFA, both in Europe and Americas. Numerous players who started out on Gfinity have gone on and signed with major teams such as Epsilon, Hashtag United F.C. and even West Ham United F.C.. This partnership gives the scene the opportunity it’s been craving and we expect to see some great competitions and the emergence of some new champions.”

Dan Paulson, Futhead Founder and VP of Content at Curse Ltd. said: “We are extremely excited to partner up with Gfinity with this endeavor. Our passion has always been in providing FIFA fans with features and tools that encourage interactions and community building, and the Futhead Cups are the next step in that mission. We look forward to seeing some awesome competitions and building a competitive community that FIFA players love.
