FIFA 21 is changing the game as it adds new features that players have been wanting for some time.
One of the smaller ones is Real World Referees! Until now, the game has been filled with unknown officials.

With real-life referees now being added to EA Sports brand new football game, Mike Dean has been spotted in the game according to @FUTDonk.
Now referees can get stick from irate fans both in the real world and the virtual one.

@FUTDonk also informs us that players will also be able to instantly stop for a free kick during a period where the referee has given advantage.
While this may seem like a small change in the grand scheme, it means that players can bring back the ball to tactically approach the next phase of the game.
The resulting advantage may normally lead to nothing if it goes on for too long and the player's original opportunity has now been ruined.
If free-kicks are as potent as they were in FIFA 20, it means players can bring the ball back and take advantage of the opportunity more frequently.
