Fall Guys: The Brand Bidding War’s Over — at $1 Million

When Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout became a viral battle-royale sensation earlier this month, brands were eager to partner up and get involved with the game.

So the developers at London-based Mediatonic decided to have some fun with the game’s lightning-in-a-bottle success and do some good in the process.

If a company (or influencer) wanted to be featured as a playable skin in the game, all they had to do was bid for the highest amount of money they’d be willing to donate to SpecialEffect, a charity that helps make gaming and tech more accessible for disabled folks.

Now, the bidding is over: G2 Esports, Jimmy “Mr. Beast” Donaldson, Aim Lab, and Tyler “Ninja” Blevins have pledged a combined $1 million in U.S. funds to SpecialEffect.

“Unbelieve!” SpecialEffect said in a tweet.

“Thank you to the winners — Aim Lab, G2 Esports, Mr. Beast, Ninja, and everyone who bid, and to Fall Guys for making it all possible. Your generosity will enable us to continue making gaming dreams come true for people with physical disabilities around the world.”

Due to the amount, we can probably expect to see a total of four skins added — one for each of the donors who chipped in — but those details will probably come in the near future.
