How To Block

Xbox Series X/S

First of all you’ll have to turn your console on and pick up your controller!

Next up, you’ll need to sign in.

If you aren’t already, access the menu by pressing the Xbox button (the Xbox symbol), then under Profile & System select Choose a profile.

Sign in to your account by choosing your Gamertag.

Once this is done, access the menu using the Xbox button again.

Now, go over to the People tab and select Find Someone.

Search for their Gamertag by typing it in, be sure to spell it right, though rather than adding them you can instead choose Report or Block.

Blocking will mean that person can no longer message you or send you friend requests.

If they have said something particularly egregious, perhaps sending you abuse or hate, you can also to Report them.

Reporting them will cause Xbox to examine their comments and maybe take action.

If you Report, you will also have to provide a Reason and can give an Additional Comment, if you need.

Selecting Report will finish your complaint!

Once this is done, you may want to instead add people you like, check out our guide on how to add friends here!
