Gillette Championship | Final Set of Finalists Revealed
As the Gfinity Arena & Studios undergoes its final preparations ahead of the launch of the Gillette Championship, our Gfinity scouts have found the final set of recruits, set to joins us at the live finals in London!
Could you please introduce yourself?
Hello, I'm Christopher Maduro Morais, I am 27 years old.
I'm the PES 2010 World Champion, 2011 European Champion, 2010 Portuguese Champion, and the 2016 French Runner Up. I’m also the President of the club, Team PES, the most titled "Pes World” since I create them in 2007.
How did you discover the Gillette Championship?
I discovered this wonderful competition thanks to a player on my team "Pes World".
Is there any specific reason you entered the Italy qualifier?
Not especially, I had time that day, and Italy is a big football nation. I have great respect for this team, and I have played at 200% with the "Squadra Azzura".Will this be your first LAN event? If so, how do you feel heading into it?
No, I have played in offline tournaments for over 10 years, I started on PES 6.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
I'm conscious to know them perfectly, this is the most important.
Do you believe you can win it?
Anything is possible.
What do you think of Gillette?
I like Gillette, I am their client. They are a brand of trust and security.
I very much like their initiative to embark on eSports, it is encouraging for the industry, which is finally receiving the recognition it deserves.

Hi, my name is Jeremy Bruniaux, I’m 22 years old and I’m from France.
How did you discover the Gillette Championship?
I discovered this tournament thanks to the PES community group on Facebook.
Is there any specific reason you entered the Belgium qualifier?
No, I tried to qualify with Croatia and Italy but I was not successful with these two teams. I played a very good tournament with Belgium, and I’m very happy to play with this team for the final tournament.
Will this be your first LAN event? If so, how do you feel heading into it?
No, I have played at LAN events since PES 2011. I have also been crowned the champion of France in 2014 and I played at the World Cup in Manchester.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
My strength is my passing game. However, I haven’t played a lot of offline tournaments this year, so that is one drawback for me.
Do you believe you can win it?
Yes I think I can win but many players can win, it will be a very difficult tournament for everyone.
What do you think of Gillette?
Gillette is a big company with very good products.
Regarding the competition, this is one of the most important tournaments for PES players and I hope Gfinity and Gillette will continue to support PES in the future.

My name is Hector. I'm 19 and I'm from Bari in Italy. How did you discover the Gillette Championship?
I found it via the Gfinity page on Facebook. Is there any specific reason you entered the Portugal qualifier?
Actually no, I attempted to qualify with France, as one of the strongest teams, but I managed with Portugal. CR7 <3Will this be your first LAN event? If so, how do you feel heading into it?
It will not be my first LAN event, so I feel comfortable enough. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Strong points? Definitely CR7’s strength and the Portuguese attack. The weakness is my defense, but nothing serious and unsolvable.
Do you believe you can win it?
It’s possible, but we will see what happens on the 8th July :P What do you think of Gillette?
It is one of the most well-known brands in the world and I personally user their products.

My name Moreno Millarte, I'm 20 and I come from Taranto (Italy).
How did you discover the Gillette Championship?
I discovered the Gillette Championship thanks to my friends and my clan.
Is there any specific reason you entered the Portugal qualifier?
I wanted to qualify with a strong team, and since I already tried before with France, Belgium and Portugal, I picked England.
Will this be your first LAN event? If so, how do you feel heading into it?
This will be my first international event and I have been waiting for this moment for four years, since I lost the Italian finals in 2013 and the semi-finals in 2016 and 2016.
Thanks to the Gillette Championship I can finally test my strength and compete against other European players. I’m excited!
Do you believe you can win it?
Yes, I believe in victory, so I will go there to win!
What do you think of Gillette?
I think Gillette is a fantastic organisation and I really enjoyed playing in this tournament.

Hi, my name is Renzo Lodeserto, I’m 20 years old and I live in Locorotondo (Bari) in South Italy.
How did you discover the Gillette Championship?
From my friends of Pes League Italy.
Is there any specific reason you entered the Germany qualifier?
Yes, they are the best team and give me more of a chance to win this event.
Will this be your first LAN event? If so, how do you feel heading into it?
No, I'm the 2014 & 2015 champion of Pes League Italy and the 2016 runner-up.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
My biggest strength is definitely my attack, especially with Germany. Hmm, weaknesses? I don't know. ;)
Do you believe you can win it?
Certainly, I have the best possibility with this team and I hope to win!
What do you think of Gillette?
The Gillette Championship is a good opportunity to challenge players from all Europe and to learn more about their level.

Could you please introduce yourself?
My name is Matthaios Zevgolis and I am from Greece. I live in Athens and I was born there. I am 21 years old.
I study communication and mass media in the University of Athens and I finish my studies next year.
How did you discover the Gillette Championship?
I discovered the Gillette Championship when I heard that my friend Stavros Stavrakidis qualified. So I decided to compete in the tour.
Is there any specific reason you entered the Germany qualifier?
There is not a specific reason why I qualified with Spain. I played with Russia and I lost in semi-finals, with France in the round of 16 and with Italy in the first round, finally I qualified with Spain.
Will this be your first LAN event? If so, how do you feel heading into it?
Yes, this will be my first LAN event and the first time I travel to a foreign country, I am very happy with my success and I’m excited to see London!
I think that I can win this event, as long as I play well and have the necessary luck.
I played in the Greek PES League from PES 14. In my first year I finished in 5th place and I won some partner tours in Greece. In 2015 I finished 2nd and I took the 5th place in finals. I also won the Game Athlon 2015, a big event which took placed in Athens.
This year has been my best one yet, I won the Greek cup and I won a PlayStation 4 as a prize. I also finished 2nd in finals and I took 1st or 2nd place in every tour that I compete at, and now I qualified with Spain for the Gillette Championship, so I am very satisfied and confident.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
I believe I play with a lot of creativity in my games and I play a balanced game, both in attack and defence.
My weakness is that I miss a lot of chances because I have the mind-set that I need to score incredible goals, so I make my life difficult.
What do you think of Gillette?
I would like to thank Gillette for giving us the chance to participate in an events like this. Gillette is a huge and successful company and I use their products with pleasure.
