Gfinity Elite Series Delivered by Domino's: FIFA 19 Week 2 Results


The Gfinity Elite Series Delivered by Domino's: FIFA 19 returned with more 2v2 action for it's second week, with several known players joining the competition and teams Vitality and Nordavind making their S4 debut!

Let's catch up with all of the final results of this round!

 

Hashtag United vs Nordavind

Week 2 opened with Group B and the hotly anticipated appearance of Hashtag’s crowd favourites: Ryan, Dreamr, Harry and Shawrey against Nordavind’s Chnewar, Denii and Diogo Peixoto. The Xbox leg ended in a 2-2 tie with Hashtag always being able to answer Nordavind's goals by making one of their own. On to the PS4, and Nordavind manages to mirror their first game with Thierry Henry scoring within 6 minutes. This time however, they’re able to withstand the pressure from Hashtag United and sneak in a last minute goal, earning them the win. Final score 4-1 to Nordavind.

 

Manchester City Epsilon vs ASUS ROG Army

Man City Epsilon continued to dominate this week by beating ASUS ROG Army 2-1 on the Xbox. On the PS4 side of things, ASUS ROG Army managed to get an early lead, however Man City Epsilon answered back with 2 goals retaining them their unbeaten record. Though luck for the Spanish army, as they have yet to win in the competition. Final score 6-0 to Man City Epsilon, now on top of Group B.

 

Team Vitality vs Dream Team Gaming

It was eWorld Cup runner up Rafsou’s debut for Team Vitality next, as they took on Dream Team Gaming. A stalemate ensued as the first game ended with no goals scored. On the PS4, four great goals meant that the score was tied at 2-2 at 90 minutes. Vitality managed to score an injury-time goal making the final score 3-2. Heartbreak for Dream Team, who once again played very well but could not secure the win. Final score: 4-1 to Vitality.

 

Team Envy vs Method

To close out FIFA 19's week 2, Team Envy took on Method in a tense match up. It was an explosive first half on the Xbox with each team scoring a goal, and Method being able to defend an Envy penalty in the final 10 minutes to tie the first leg 1-1. On the PS4, thanks to the great teamwork of Jas & LostintheWavez, the tension was broken, ending 4-1 in favour of Envy.
