Elden Ring Has Entered the ‘Final Stages of Development,’ Confirms FromSoftware Boss


Bandai Namco Entertainment's Elden Ring has now entered its final stages of development before it's target release date next January, according to FromSoftware boss Yasuhiro Kitao

As seen in a translated post by user MysteriousBloke on Reddit, Kitao recently spoke with Famitsu about the upcoming game. Telling them they're already in the final stages of development, his statement read as:

"We're in the final stages of development, and we're moving forward quietly."

With Elden Ring inching closer to release, Kitao thanked fans for their continued support since the game's initial announcement in 2019. He confirmed:

"We released the video and release date in June 2021, after two years of no new information since we released the video at E3 2019. I thought it would be forgotten until then, but there were many people waiting for it, and I want to say thank you again to them. We will continue to develop the game to meet your expectations, so please look forward to it."
