DOTA 2: SumaiL Replaces Ana In OG's The International 10 Qualifiers Line-Up

Following the announcement of Anathan “Ana” Pham’s retirement from the DOTA 2 pro scene, OG Esports has now revealed the return of Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan after his brief stint with Team Liquid as a stand-in player in the second season of the 2021 DOTA 2 Pro Circuit (DPC).

The Announcement of SumaiL’s ‘Royal Return’

OG Esports announced on Twitter the ‘Royal Return’ of SumaiL, who is dubbed the team’s ‘king.’

His return was announced hours after Ana’s retirement from competitive play became official. SumaiL might be directly replacing Ana, so it is safe to assume that he will play the carry role for OG in the upcoming The International 10 qualifiers.

The New OG Line-Up

Now with their complete line-up, take a look at the official OG Esports roster for the TI10 qualifiers:

  • Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan
  • Topias “Topson” Taavistainen
  • Sebastien “Ceb” Debs
  • Martin “Saksa” Sazdov
  • Johan “N0Tail” Sundstein

SumaiL’s return was accompanied by the words of JMR Luna, the CEO of OG Esports.

“Sumail has always been one of my favorite teammates and players. We are thrilled to have him back and I’m personally delighted to have him back in OG” he said.

OG will be targeting to make a name for themselves in the upcoming EU qualifiers beginning July 7, as well as the ESL Summer this June 16.
