Diablo 2: Resurrected's PTR Is Now Live For Players

Blizzard has opened Diablo 2: Resurrected's Public Test Realm (PTR) for players, letting them try planned features before they go live in-game. That'll be used for Resurrected's upcoming 2.4 update, though its gone live earlier to help with stress testing.

Announced via Twitter (thanks GameSpot), Blizzard confirmed that players can already hop straight into PTR using level 99 characters. That's available for every player that owns a PC copy of the game, though there's a few instructions to follow before getting in.

To jump in, Blizzard provided this outline:

"To acquire access to the PTR, open your Battle.net launcher application and select the Diablo II: Resurrected tab. Above the “Play” button and under the “Game Version” text, select the dropdown menu and click “Public Test Realm.” Now you’ll be able to download and install the test version of the game. Once finished, simply select “Play” to launch the PTR. As normal updates are automatically downloaded by the Battle.net launcher application, so too is the PTR."

Blizzard has confirmed they'll implement update 2.4 in "early 2022," introducing new features like the Ladder Play mode. Make sure to follow us for more gaming news and updates as it happens.
