Anyone who is serious about staying up to date and competitive in Bungie's looter-shooter MMOPRG relies on the ever-changing Destiny 2 Xur location. The franchise's favourite mysterious vendor is always darting around the galaxy for one reason or another, and we're here to make sure you always know exactly where he is.
If it's time for you to check in on old Xur, read on to find out not where Xur is this week, but also what you can expect to buy from him. You might want to double-check his inventory before you seek him out. There's no point visiting the man if he has nothing that'll help you.
Elsewhere in the Destiny 2 world, we have Destiny 2 codes you can redeem for things like free emblems and currencies. And if you've ever been met with an error on busy days, we have "Destiny 2 Is Temporarily At Capacity" explained in this separate guide.
Where is Xur This Week?
Xur this week is on the EDZ. Load into the Winding Cove landing zone, and head north. You'll see a big ship on the cliffside, and you'll know you're in the right spot. You'll have to jump up the cliff on the right side, or there is a tunnel directly under the ship to get up to Xur.
What is Xur Selling This Week?
Here are the Exotics that Xur is selling this week:
- Tractor Cannon
- Lucky Pants (Hunter)
- Peacekeepers (Titan)
- Aeon Soul (Warlock)
Xur's Exotics this week are pretty decent. Tractor Cannon is a great exotic to pick up, especially if you're a titan. It's definitely an important weapon to have if you're going for Soloing the Duality dungeon. Lucky Pants have a really great roll for Hunters, with really high mobility. While these aren't super meta, they can be an alright option for PVP.
Aeon Soul is a definitely pick up for Warlocks looking to do Grand Master Nightfalls, as executing champions for heavy ammo bricks is a big part of smooth runs.
Hawkmoon isn't good this week, but Dead Man's Tale is alright. Last week's roll was a bit better, but this one isn't terrible.
Here are the Legendary Weapons that Xur is selling this weekend:
- Talons of the Eagle (Full Auto Trigger, Moving Target)
- Gnawing Hunger (Field Prep, Rampage)
- Honor's Edge (Tireless Blade, Surrounded)
- Widow's Bite (Feeding Frenzy, Eye of the Storm)
- IKELOS_SR_v1.0.2 (Feeding Frenzy, Disruption Break)
- Survivor's Epitaph (Feeding Frenzy, Moving Target)
- Vulpecula (Killing Wind, Adagio)
Of the weapons that Xur has this weekend, the spread isn't super great. There is really only one weapon worth mentioning here, which is the Honor's Edge. It's a solid roll, and if you don't have a sword, it might be worth snagging. Swords aren't massively meta right now, but could be in the future.
As for Legendary Armor goes, there isn't anything extraordinary here. Most of the armor is high 50s - low 60s on stat rolls, so save your legendary shards for other things.
Who Is Xur?
If you're new to the game, Xur is a character that sells exotic weapons and armour over the weekend. He appears at 5pm GMT (6 PM BST) in a seemingly random location and offers rare gear in exchange for legendary shards that you can collect from dismantling legendary gear or completing activities.
We say random location, but he'll always be in the same spots you've always found him in - "Winding Cove" in the EDZ, in a tree in "Watcher's Grave" on Nessus, or in the Hangar in the Tower. He used to appear on Io and Titan, but both of those locations are now in the "Destiny Content Vault".
We won't know what he's offering for players until he appears, but we do know that he'll offer a variety of items.
Xur's inventory always includes one exotic weapon, three exotic armour pieces (one per class), and an isochronal engram that guarantees a drop of a random exotic from Year One or Year Two - and it's always something the player doesn't have, which makes it ideal for finishing collections.

As of Destiny 2: Beyond Light, he'll also offer a bounty that rewards players with an Exotic Cipher – an item that helps them earn exotic weapons from the new kiosk in the Tower.
How Is Xur?
Everyone is always asking "Where is Xur," but never "How is Xur?" Having been the guardian's primary quartermaster since the original release almost ten years ago now - he's probably getting pretty lonely at this point as players seek him out on a set day, grab what they can, and ignore his ex for another few days.
We'll be updating this piece once we know where the tentacle-faced hoodlum is, and what he's offering for Guardians. Until then, as we think it's only a matter of time before Destiny finds its way to phones and tablets, our Apex Legends Mobile release date hub should give you a fine example of why we think that is.
