Destiny 2 is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X

Destiny 2 Season of the Worthy is still ongoing, but Bungie has confirmed that Destiny 2 will continue into the next console generation. 

With the developer's logo appearing as part of the Inside Xbox event last week, they responded to Microsoft tweeting the graphic with "Destiny 2 will be on next-gen platforms! More details to come."

Destiny 2's base game and first two expansions went free-to-play in 2019, meaning it's likely you'll be able to download it to your shiny new console at no extra cost in any case – but if it supports Smart Delivery, your expansion content should make the jump to next generation, too.

With Destiny 2 offering cross-save between PS4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia, there's a good chance your progression should be waiting for you on next-gen too. We look forward to hearing more.
