Deathloop: How to Unlock Charlie's Pictogram Machine and Open the Pumping Station

If you managed to track down Charlie and Fia's meeting spot you will find a bunker with a locked door. The door is operated by a huge machine with tape cassettes that can be inputted to form an unlock code. The only clue you have here is a not with a safe code, detailing a safe that's located in Karl's Bay, near the Yerhva riddle game. This is your first stop, so head to Karl's Bay and exit via the left door. As you step out, climb the wall and head right, you'll see the "Queen of Riddles' door. There's a safe in here revealing that Fia's artwork is the key to the machine's combination.

There are four Pictograms to find in total. All of them are located in Fia's art studio, which can be accessed in the morning in Fristad Rock. You need to follow the clues and track down each Pictogram, interact with it to add it to your menu. Here's what you're looking for:

  • It 'enlivens the lockers'- there is a locker room near the back of the building.
  • It 'ogles the rear entrance' - enter through the back of the studio. The pictogram is in the first room you enter, painted on the wall to your right. It is not the one on the floor.
  • It 'adds color to tools and schema' - find the repair room on the main floor.
  • It 'wants for power' - This is the Pictogram shown in the image above. You'll need a battery to get in. We recommend looking in Fia's workshop for these. You could also use a Delivery Booth to get a battery in.

Using the Pictograms to Unlock Charlie's Machine

Once you have the four Pictograms, go back to Charlie's Machine. You want to open your leads menu and hover over each entry. This will reveal the shape of each Pictogram. They are labelled from 1-4, this is the order they will be used in.

Start with the first Pictogram. Note its shape and then take a look at the diagram on the blue surface next to the machine. Look for where it sits, and if there are any arrows pointing to a number.

Each Pictogram will have a corresponding number. If one of them spreads across two numbers on the diagram, add those numbers together. My code ended up being 04,25,35,07. Yours is likely to be different. Check out the final solution in the image below:

What's Inside the Pumping Station?

It's worth taking a look around the Pumping Station, even if Charlie and Fia aren't there currently. Make your way down the elevator shaft. There's a large room with a control kiosk at the top. The lever will flood the entire room. This is an easy way to kill Charlie and Fia when they are both in there. Just make sure you know your way out, probably via the locked door that can be hacked open on the top floor.
