How To Pick The Best Phone For PUBG

If playing PUBG is your priority when choosing a new phone there are a number of things you'll want to look out for before purchasing.

Is 3GB of RAM enough for PUBG mobile?

As a minimum requirement for PUBG mobile, you'll need at least 2GB of RAM, however, if you're looking to get the best experience, we'd recommend at least 6GB.

While 3GB will be more than enough to run the game, it may only offer low quality and low frame rate which can hinder your overall experience.

As well as RAM, in order to run the game smoothly, you'll also need a fast processor and a stable internet connection.

Which Snapdragon Processor is best for PUBG?

When it comes to Snapdragon processors the 8 Gen 1 is the current flagship and most powerful SoC that Qualcomm has produced thus far.

However, the Snapdragon 865 Plus was designed to work directly as a gaming SoC and will match the performance of the 888 when it comes to playing PUBG.

While many Snapdragon processors are good enough to run the game, the 865 Plus, 888 and 8 Gen 1 should give you the best performance.

Does PUBG mobile support 120fps?

While many gaming phones now offer upwards of 120Hz refresh rates and are powerful enough to run PUBG at 120fps, at this moment in time it is not possible.

The international version of PUBG mobile is capped at 90fps so even if your phone does support 120Hz or higher, you will only be able to experience the game at 90.

There is however potential for PUBG mobile to increase this in the future as technology advances.

What are the minimum specs to play PUBG mobile?

In order to play PUBG mobile, your device will need to run at a minimum Android 5.1, and have at least 2GB of RAM handy.

For iPhones, it's a minimum of 1GB of RAM, iOS 9, and an Apple A8 chip. This also goes hand in hand with having 4GB of space for installation.

Is PUBG cross-platform?

PUBG is partially cross-platform, it allows you to play PS4 to Xbox One but does not allow console to PC or console to mobile.

The game is cross-platform between Android and IOS, so mobile players will be able with different phone operating systems will still be able to play together.
