Dead By Daylight Freddy Krueger perks list

Freddy Krueger has three unique perks that can eventually be unlocked for other Killers via the Bloodweb.

Fire Up

You gain a stackable 3/3.5/4% Action Speed bonus to picking up and dropping Survivors, breaking Pallets and Unbreakable Walls, damaging Generators, as well as Vaulting Windows each time a Generator is completed.

Blood Warden

When you hook a Survivor after the Exit Gates are open, the Entity will block the exit gate for all Survivors and reveal their Aura when they are standing near the Exit Gate for 30/40/60 seconds.

Remember Me

Each time you hit your Obsession with a Basic Attack, you gain a Token. The opening of the Exit Gates is increased by up to a maximum of 8/12/16 additional seconds. However, the Obsession is unaffected by this penalty.

What is the best Dead by Daylight Freddy build?

Without further ado, here's a closer look at the best perks and builds for Freddy Krueger in Dead by Daylight:

Barbecue and Chilli

After hooking a Survivor, all Survivors who are at least a few metres away from that Hook have their Aura revealed to you for 5 seconds.

Pop Goes the Weasel

After hooking a Survivor, Pop Goes the Weasel activates for the next few seconds. Performing the Damage Generator Action on a Generator instantly regresses it by -30% of its current Progression Normal Generator Regression applies afterwards.

Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage

At the start of the Trial, 4 random Hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks: the Auras of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in white.

Discordance

Any Generator within a range of a few metres that is being repaired by 2 or more Survivors is marked by a yellow Aura. When the Generator is first highlighted, Discordance triggers a Loud Noise Notification on the Generator.

After the Generator is no longer within range or is being repaired by just 1 Survivor, the highlighted Aura will linger for another 4 seconds.

Alternative Dead By Daylight Freddy Krueger builds

For the King of Nightmares, various other builds offer different effects in a trial. We've listed some of the best below.

Dead By Daylight Freddy beginner build

  • A Nurse's Calling (Universal)
  • Brutal Strength (The Trapper)
  • Sloppy Butcher (The Legion)
  • Monitor & Abuse (The Doctor)

Dead By Daylight Chill and Kill Freddy build by RedsGamingGears

  • Brutal Strength (The Trapper)
  • Eruption (The Nemesis)
  • Overcharge (The Doctor)
  • Enduring (The Hillbilly)

This build was created by YouTuber RedsGamingGears focusing on destroying pallets, breakable walls, and generators faster. Eruption helps in destroying all affected generators and makes them lose progress faster. Lastly, it will make repairing a generator more difficult to complete and easier to fail.

Dead By Daylight Freddy Kreuger Anti-Generator Nightmare build

This build focuses on preventing Survivors from completing the generators. Freddy can teleport to unfinished generators and this makes him quite powerful with this build.

  • Nemesis (The Oni)
  • Dead Man's Switch (The Deathslinger)
  • Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist)
  • Deadlock (The Cenobite)

With Nemesis, when a Survivor stuns you, it will show you their aura and change the Obsession to them.

Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance will show the Survivors' locations after one of them gets unhooked from a Scourge Hook. Dead Man's Switch will combine with Pain Resonance to block the generators. Deadlock then blocks the generator with the highest progress after getting a hook.

Dead By Daylight Freddy Krueger powers

Freddy Krueger's power is called Dream Demon. Dream Demon makes Freddy Krueger invisible to Survivors more than 32 meters away from him.

At 32 to 16 meters, he flickers in and out of existence, and Survivors who are asleep can see him fully. His terror radius, however, can be heard but is completely non-directional.

His passive ability forces Survivors to enter into micro-sleep, where Freddy's main powers come into play. His main power via Dream Demon is Dream Projection.

With this ability, Freddy can Teleport to a generator that he can see. The cooldown for Dream Projection is reduced by a stackable 15% for each Survivor in the Dream World.

Depending on certain add-ons, Freddy can also use Dream Snares and Dream Pallets.

Best Dead by Daylight Freddy add-ons

Freddy Krueger is a highly mobile Killer and he can get around maps fairly quickly due to his Dream Projection. This is why the best add-ons for the Nightmare complement Freddy Krueger's mobility.

Red Paint Brush

This add-on causes all Survivors to start the trial in the Dream World. Red Paint Brush gives you a significant advantage. For one, Survivors will work slower on generators, they'll heal slower, etc. Also, Survivors cannot wake up until they successfully finish a skill check.

Class Photo

An excellent and deceptive add-on that surprises Survivors due to all generators spewing a fountain of blood when you use your Dream Projection. The downside is you can no longer cancel Dream Projection. Nevertheless, Class Photo is powerful especially if paired with perks that reveal Survivors like Discordance.

Blue Dress

This add-on slightly increases the regression penalties for Survivors in the Dream World. Skill checks now increase the penalty for healing by 4%, and Survivors who fail these skill checks are now revealed for 4 seconds.

Paint Thinner

This add-on adds Dream Pallets to your arsenal instead of Dream Snares. While not as strong as the latter, Dream Pallets will keep survivors second-guessing each pallet they go to.

Dead by Daylight Freddy tips and tricks

  • If you are chasing a Survivor and you see them running towards an incomplete generator, you can teleport to that generator using your Dream Projection. It'll catch the Survivor off guard, and you can go for an easy hit.
  • Dream Snares are perfect at shortening a loop, so place them just before a pallet or window to prevent Survivors from getting the speed necessary to escape your hits.
  • You can fake teleports. This is perfect if you have a perk like Surveillance that lets you know which generators are being worked on, enabling you to teleport to the correct location.
  • Don't go out of your way to do this, but the best way to mess with Survivors is to keep them asleep. They'll eventually interact with a clock to wake themselves up, however. So, the best thing to do is Dream Snare any clocks nearby, so you have a better idea of where Survivors will go once they're in the Dream World.
