Cyberpunk 2077 Will "Live Up To What We Promised", Claims CD Projekt Boss

During CD Projekt's latest earnings report, CD Projekt president and joint CEO Adam Kiciński has confirmed Cyberpunk 2077 will eventually "live up to what we promised". Covering Q1 2021, which ended on March 31, 2021, we got some new insights into where the game's currently at.

As part of this latest report, Kiciński confirmed:

We intend to live up to what we promised our gamers in January. While we already see major improvements, a large part of the team continues to work on making sure that Cyberpunk provides even better entertainment to gamers.

While Cyberpunk 2077 recently got a new game director, Kiciński also advised that "nearly half" the development team are still working on it, both for the currently released editions and upcoming next-gen upgrades. However, smaller teams have moved onto unannounced projects, and Kiciński stated they didn't want to "pre-announce" anything.

Within that same report, CD Projekt also confirmed they were "in the middle of" a process to see Cyberpunk 2077 return to the PlayStation Store, having previously announced they were still awaiting approval. While it's still available physically, Sony evidently aren't impressed yet with the PS4 edition.
