Cyberpunk 2077 Let's You Pet Cats, But No One Has Seen A Dog Yet


Cyberpunk 2077 launches on November 17, and it's undoubtedly the most anticipated game still to come in 2020.

We know about the game's Witcher 3 reference, the next-gen upgrade and even some of the in-game perks, but the question remains - can we pet those futuristic felines?

Cyberpunk 2077 Will Let You Pet Cats

Considering the state of Cyberpunk's world, with an ecological disaster ripping through much of the world's wildlife, it looks like cats are the sole survivors (with no dogs in sight, boo).

Thankfully, an IGN preview confirmed that those cats aren't just there for furry set dressing, with Miranda Sanchez explaining "Oh, and I pet a cat! That's very important. I didn't see any dogs for you dog people out there."

In a GamesRadar interview at E3 2019, the game's Quest Director, Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, explained that the lack of animals.

"So to some degree it's intentional that we will have very few animals, but from time to time we do have them," Tomaszkiewiczs noted cryptically. Could we have some surprising animal appearances in Night City?
