Gfinity is delighted to announce a ground-breaking partnership with the world-renowned broadcaster, BBC, allowing us to share tournament games and exclusive short-form video content from Gfinity’s Elite Series, live from the Gfinity Esports Arena.

This weekly coverage will form the main part of a new, wider strand of esports content on BBC Three, in collaboration with BBC Sport.  The first live broadcast of the Elite Series will air on BBC Three, 9pm, 28th July 2017.

The new deal – the first of its kind that the BBC has done for an esports series - will deliver esports to a new audience for the next six consecutive weeks with live Elite Series tournament play every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Some of the best up-and-coming British and international professional gamers will be battling it out for a total prize pot of £225,000 across the games; Street Fighter V, Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Rocket League.

In addition to the live matches there will be exclusive lifestyle segments and editorial coverage on BBC Three, focusing on the players and their storylines.

The deal means that sport and entertainment fans will be connected to the full Elite Series experience, bringing together the gameplay of eight well-known franchises made up of today’s best professional players alongside stories of the newly drafted superstars of tomorrow, who successfully made their way through the Gfinity Challenger Series, a free online competition open to all gamers, regardless of location or skill level via GfinityEsports.com.
