A sequence of new hires for the Shiba Inu metaverse team appears to show the Shiba Inu metaverse move away from the Land Sale event and into its next development phase.

After announcing the hiring of Marcie Jastrow and Sherri Cuono, the creative and technical team behind the metaverse has been bolstered by industry experience.

Here’s a look at the state of the metaverse project.

Next Steps for the SHIB Metaverse

With both Cuono and Jastrow advising on the Shiba Inu metaverse, this marks a new chapter for the project that should see the core structure further advanced.

The SHIB announcements touted the experience they can bring to creating an immersive and technologically sound metaverse.

Indeed, this team announcement may not be done yet. Earlier this week, Shytoshi posted a “for three” hint that we speculated could link to a Shiba Inu basketball project. However, it could simply be a “three for three” announcement. If so, then the fact we’ve received two new metaverse team members could suggest a third will come pretty soon.

SHIB users are still awaiting the announcement of the mystery AAA metaverse developer, too.

Metaverse Land Sale Results

As it enters this new phase, it could mark the winding down of the land sale. Seeing sales of over $20 million, the success of the SHIB metaverse land sale remains up for debate. A total of 19,372 lands have been sold to 5503 holders, as of May 27. This means over 12,000 pieces of the 32,124 land on sale are left unminted. Indeed, the metaverse land map will also increase to 100,595 separate plots over time.

The floor price of land on OpenSea (0.22 ETH) does, however, remains above the lowest mint price of 0.2 ETH.

Existing holders may hope as SHIB reveals further information about how the metaverse will work, further SHIB users will buy land.
