Shiba Inu holders have been hit by multiple delays to their schedule rewards in quick succession.

The second Shiba Inu Burn Portal rewards were scheduled to release last week, while those who locked LEASH for the Shiba Inu land sale have also seen a temporary delay to their rewards.

Here’s a look at what happened.

Shiba Inu Burn Rewards Delayed

After the first Burn Portal rewards were distributed by Ryoshis Vision on May 17, the second drop was expected to take place two weeks later - on May 31. As of June 6, these rewards have still not been released.

In the Shiba Discord server, Defence member Trophias posted a ShibaSwap update which said: “Burn rewards are in process now. Will deliver soon.”

Processed by Ryoshis Vision, the developer of the portal, the latest rewards to SHIB burners are almost a week late. It seems these rewards are handled manually rather than being processed automatically through a smart contract.

In the Ryoshis Vision Discord, one admin offered an explanation. They said the “short delay” was due to a “very high workload from the involved persons”.

We’re not sure what this means for the other upcoming rewards. Another batch of burn rewards is still supposed to happen on June 14.

Several SHIB burners have expressed their frustrations and confusion surrounding these delays on both Twitter and Discord.

However, this is not the only delay to hit the SHIB ecosystem in the last week.

Shiba Inu Locked LEASH Rewards Delayed

The official Shiba Inu blog has announced a slight delay in its BONE rewards to those who locked LEASH ahead of the Shiba Inu Metaverse land sale.

Explaining the reason, SHIB said it is down to the original contract, which would only distribute rewards once the land had sold out. The metaverse land has yet to sell out, with thousands of plots still unowned.

“In order not to make our LEASH lock users and holders wait it out and count on a sell-out acknowledgement, we are constructing a new contract,” SHIB said. This will distribute 3% of the land event sales to those who locked LEASH.
