The Bitcoin.com Wallet has added support for 100 additional cryptocurrencies, including Shiba Inu, allowing 32 million wallets access to SHIB.

As announced by the wallet, it now supports 121 coins and tokens, including several new cryptocurrency releases, such as ApeCoin.

With new Binance listings and new Binance listings making it easier than ever to buy a wider range of cryptocurrencies (albeit Shiba Inu is still pushing for BONE listings), this Bitcoin.com announcement sees the company attempt to introduce Bitcoin holders to new crypto products, including SHIB.

Shiba Inu added to Bitcoin.com

Previously, Bitcoin.com only supported the likes of Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Ethereum. However, it has now expanded into the ERC-20 domain, adding Shiba Inu and more to its asset list.

In its announcement, the wallet said: “Swaps just got better.”

“We’ve added over 100 of the most popular coins to the Bitcoin.com Wallet,” it said in the blog post. “That means you can now hold, manage, swap, and use more of your favourite cryptos.”

This marks quite a significant move for Bitcoin.com. Previously catering specifically to the Bitcoin maximalist crowd, it has now opened up to a wider range of cryptocurrency niches. These range from the metaverse and NFT tokens, to DeFi, stablecoins, and Shiba Inu.

As it only added ERC-20 tokens, this means Dogecoin, Cardano, and Solana are still not supported by the wallet. As one of the larger ERC-20 tokens, beaten only by stablecoins in size, SHIB could be one of the major new tokens banked on by Bitcoin.com to bring in new users.

The eagle-eyed Shiba Inu community was quick to spot its token’s addition to Bitcoin.com, celebrating yet another place supporting SHIB. The ShibArmy will hope to expand in size and attract some of the 32 million wallets that use the platform.

This latest Shiba Inu news is just the latest in the growing support for SHIB. From the Binance Card adding SHIB, to discounts for SHIB users at Shopping.io, more places are looking to hone in on the Shiba community.
