It showcases all the ins and outs of transferring files from the current-gen consoles to the new PS5.

Prep

Before you begin the process of transferring the files from the two consoles, you have some prep beforehand.

Make sure your PS4 console is up to date with the latest firmware, and make sure you are signed in to your account.

WI-FI

As well, the two consoles should be connected to the same Wi-Fi before you begin this process, as it will make it a lot easier.

Next, you are going to want to plug an ethernet cable into both consoles and connect them to eachother.

This should trigger a data transfer between the two consoles and it will not take to long.

External Hardrive

Sony also gives you the option to load files onto an External Hardrive from the PS4, which you can then load onto the PS5!

The choice is up to you and whichever one is easier for you we would recommend doing!
