Everything You Need To Know About The 2021 COD Mobile World Championship

Activision has unveiled the 2021 COD Mobile World Championship which will be the largest COD Mobile tournament to take place in its history.

The tournament will feature several teams from across the globe battling it out for a share of millions in prize money and the chance to be crowned the best COD Mobile team on the planet.

The finals of the 2020 World Championship was called off due to the ongoing pandemic but the event is back in full force for 2021.

COD Mobile World Championship 2021 Prize Pool

According to Activision, players will get the opportunity to compete for over $2 million in prize money.

The exact breakdown has yet to be determined so be sure to check back regularly to find out the latest information!

How To Qualify

The qualification process involves a total of five stages.

Stage 1 - Solo

The first stage of the qualification process will see players jump into solo Ranked Play matches.

There will be a total of four weekends where aspiring qualifiers must earn 60 points across ten matches. If you manage to score the points, you'll qualify for Stage 2!

Stage 2 - Team

With the solo action concluded, the second stage is where teams come into play. Players will have to form teams with other players that have made it into Stage 2 for more Ranked Play matches.

Teams will need to play 30 matches to secure a spot in Stage 3.

Stage 3 - Regional Qualifiers

The top 256 teams that made it through from Stage 2 will compete in a bracket for the Regional Qualifiers.

As of writing (April 15th) Activision has yet to reveal how many teams will advance to Stage 4 but if 2020 is anything to go by, only eight teams managed to qualify for the main event.

Stage 4 - Playoffs

The best squads from each region will do battle in Stage 4. The teams that manage to walk away with the top spot will bag themselves a spot in the World Championship Finals.

Stage 5 - World Championship Finals

The fifth and final stage of the competition is the World Championship Finals and is where the very best teams in the world get the chance to showcase their skills against each other.
