The European leg of the tournament is set to begin at 7AM PT (3PM BST) on April 27th with the North American portion scheduled to get underway at 1PM PT (9PM BST)

Depending on how the matches progress, the tournament is meant to run for approximately five hours, meaning there won't be any clashes between European and North American tournaments.

Prize Pool

A total of 49 teams of three are expected to participate in the tournament, with the $50,000 prize pool being distributed across all placings meaning everyone taking part gets the chance to earn some cash.

The tournament will feature a kill race format but rather than squads dropping into public matches, all teams will be playing in a private match against each other, meaning the games are likely to be played at a slower pace as placement is just as important as kills.

Twitch Rivals has also added a kill multiplier rather than adding bonus points for a high placement. If a team finishes first and scores 10 kills, the total will be doubled to 20 giving them 20 points for that particular match.

Here's a full breakdown of the multiplier:

  • 1st - 2x Kill Multiplier
  • 2nd-5th - 1.5x Kill Multiplier
  • 6th-15th - 1.3x Kill Multiplier
