Warzone Season 2 for Black Ops Cold War is finally here, and that means there's a whole new set of Battle Pass rewards to chase.
If you've not jumped into Call of Duty's battle royale since it launched in 2020, you may be wondering where to begin.
The good news is that the cost of entry is, well, zilch.
Is Warzone Free On Xbox?
After walking back its prior intention of increasing the price of Xbox Live Gold, Microsoft took the long-awaited step to remove the Xbox Live Gold requirement for online play in free-to-play titles.
Prior to this, you needed to pay an Xbox Live Gold fee to play the likes of Warzone, even though there was no such requirement on PS4 or PC.
That's good news, and yes, the game itself is free, too.
Not only can you download Warzone right now and start playing, but you'll also be able to earn content through the free Battle Pass.
If you do decide you like the game, you can splash out on the premium Battle Pass for even more rewards - many of which carry over into Black Ops Cold War or Modern Warfare.
