Strange Warzone Crossbow Glitch Destroys Helicopters In A Single Shot

The popular battle royale is no stranger to bugs and glitches, with new exploits seemingly appearing on a weekly basis. This time around, an exploit involving the Crossbow has transformed the Special weapon into one of the very best weapons, much to the annoyance of the often vocal community.

Typically, the Crossbow is used to score kills worthy of the highlight reel but one crafty player has managed to discover that the weapon is lethal when dealing with any aircraft patrolling the skies over the course of a match.

Having made its debut as part of Season 2's launch, the R1 Shadowhunter never made a significant impact on the metagame, but Reddit user "Demolitions75" showcased the immense power of the weapon thanks to this exploit.

The clip shows the player managing to down several helicopters during a match in just a single shot despite the lack of damage that the Shadowhunter possesses. It even downs friendly choppers, much to their annoyance. The player then details that the surprisingly powerful crossbow is down to an unintentional bug that involves the crossbow bolt hitting the helicopter and the game registering the collision as a hit against a non-world object. What's even more unusual about this particular exploit is that it doesn't have a 100% success rate.

Demolitions75 sheds some more details on this mysterious exploit: "From what I can tell, the heli has to be tilted slightly and moving at full speed. You don't get any credit for a kill or vehicle destruction. It is treated as if the pilot crashed and suicided."

It's currently unclear as to whether Raven Software is aware of the exploit but considering the severity of the issue, it's more than likely that the overpowered crossbow will be fixed in the not-too-distant future.
