Limited-time modes (LTM) are nothing new within the world of Warzone. Raven Software introduces brand-new game modes on a regular basis, providing players with unique alternatives to the usual battle royale playlists. With the Season 3 Reloaded update right around the corner, the developer has unveiled the Champion of Caldera LTM.

The latest LTM caters to solo players looking for constant action on Caldera thanks to rule adjustments and a single playing area that gradually shrinks over the course of the match. With players looking for every advantage, there's a high chance many weapons in the Season 3 meta will make an appearance.

Judging by the description of the Champion of Caldera LTM, the mode is perfect for those that love to run and gun the opposition. With that said, find all there is to know about the Warzone Champion of Caldera LTM in this hub.

Warzone Champion of Caldera LTM Release Date

The LTM will launch as part of the Season 3 Reloaded update going live on May 25, 2022. The Call of Duty blog claims Champion of Caldera will prove popular with solo players currently enjoying Rebirth Resurgence and Caldera Clash.

Champion of Caldera is slightly different to standard solo matches so here's a full breakdown of the rules and regulations that separate the mode from other solo experiences in Warzone.

Warzone Champion of Caldera Rules

Rather than players needing to loot and build up a Cash supply to purchase their preferred loadout, all 150 players begin the match equipped with a loadout of their choice, a Gas Mask, and one Redeploy Extraction Token that gives them a chance to drop back into the action.

In addition, the loot pool is different to standard BR. Equipment that rarely features in loadouts along with weapons ranging from Epic to Legendary rarity are available if you want an alternative to your starting guns.

Upgraded Buy Stations contain a wealth of game-changing items for a hefty cost. Everything ranging from an Advanced UAV to a Specialist Bonus is available so don't forget to farm some Cash in the early stages of a match.

Perhaps the most notable change in Champion of Caldera is to do with kills. Instead of taking cover to regenerate health after an intense gunfight, scoring an elimination immediately regenerates health, equipment, and any ammunition used in a bid to incentivise players to keep moving.

Warzone Champion of Caldera Player Count

As mentioned earlier, Champion of Caldera's player count is a maximum of 150 players dropping onto the island for some high-octane action. With plenty of players rushing around the map, there's huge potential for the eventual winner to score a huge number of kills that may even contend with the world records.
