Will Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (2022) Have Skill-based Matchmaking?

Information on Modern Warfare 2's SBMM comes from leaker @RalphsValve, who has already uncovered a wealth of information surrounding the next instalment of the Modern Warfare series. Players that want to get rid of SBMM in Call of Duty better look away now, as Modern Warfare 2 will use the matchmaking feature in its multiplayer.

Alongside SBMM, the leaker claims that there are plans to add pools of bots into certain lobbies, making some multiplayer matches PvPvE (Player v Player v Environment). The new system will reportedly enable the game to prevent smurf accounts from accessing lower-level lobbies, guaranteeing a competitive match on every occasion.

As this is a leak, it should be taken with a pinch of salt but considering that most Call of Duty titles feature some kind of SBMM, it's likely that it will be featured in Modern Warfare 2.
