Borderlands 3 Revenge of the Cartels 2021 brings back the fan-favorite showdown against Joey Ultraviolet, with plenty of loot up for grabs.
Officially called The Revengance of Revenge of the Cartels, the event starts in June, but has several trial challenges leading up to it.
These are weekly challenges with chances to earn Legendary items from the base game and DLC, though there’s a slight catch to the DLC part.
Either way, the next month is full of new Borderlands 3 content.

Borderlands 3 Revenge of the Cartels 2021
Revenge of the Cartels 2021 is the same basic event as the original Revenge of the Cartels. You'll face off against Joey Ultraviolet and his gang at the Villa Ultraviolet for a chance to earn several exclusive rewards.

Revenge of the Cartels 2021 begins June 24, with weekly trials leading up to it.

So far, Gearbox hasn't mentioned what the Revenge of the Cartels 2021 loot will be.
The 2020 version of the event had high-level skins as rewards, so it could be more skins again.
Borderlands 3 True Trials
Borderlands 3 True Trials is a set of weekly challenges starting May 13 at 5 p.m. BST/12 p.m. EST. Every week, these turn Proving Grounds trials into a new set of trials where you'll take on a buffed boss and complete additional objectives to earn two Legendary items.
One item will be from the base game, and the other is from one of the Borderlands 3 DLC packs.
However, you have to own that DLC to obtain the weapons in a True Trial.
There's also a chest at the end of each True Trial week that contains a Legendary item separate from any objectives you complete.
True Trials will continue through July 1.
