Black Ops Cold War is the next Call of Duty game in the franchise and it's all anyone is talking about.

Like last year, players need an Activision ID to be able to play online and play with other platforms.

As a result, you could change your name to whatever you wanted it to be!

It was almost like a free GamerTag or PSN change...but for Call of Duty.

The easiest way to do this is to log into your account for Black Ops Cold War and open up the Settings Menu.

To open the Settings menu you can do the following (depending on your platform):

• Press the Menu button on your Xbox Controller
• Press the Options button on your PlayStation Controller
• Click the Settings button in the menus on PC

Scroll to the 'Account & Network' tab in the settings menu.

Once there, the first option for 'Change Activision Display Name' will be highlighted.

Select this option and another menu will open asking you to input a new display name.

Enter your new display name and press confirm.

To change your name, you must use a rename token. If you do not have any, you will not be able to rename your Display Name.

You earn a token every 6 months, so be sure to use it wisely!
