BioShock 4 Is Going Open World

Alongside an AI programmer, UI/UX designer, a tools programmer, senior world designer, a senior technical designer, the Montreal office is hunting for a senior writer who "can weave impactful, character-driven stories in an open world setting.”

The AI programmer listing offers some additional information which suggests an open-world setting too, with the role tasking the successful candidate with implementing "an urban crowd system”.

Meanwhile, the senior world designer is charged with creating "systemic world moments, as well as bespoke quests, that breathe life into the game" in order to "create memorable experiences for players throughout the living world."

2K announced the formation of Cloud Chamber back in December 2019, revealing that the new studio would be taking on a new entry in the BioShock series, following the original triology that wrapped up with 2013's BioShock Infinite.
