Here is everything you need to know about the Wrath of the Druids.
Latest News - Release Date Delayed
April 14, 2021 - Ubisoft has announced that Assassin's Creed: Wrath of the Druids will now release on May 13.
The official announcement, posted on the games official Twitter account, didn't provide a fully fleshed out reason for the delay, simply saying suggested that the delay was needed "To deliver a more refined experience".
Further details will be shared soon in the form of an article (blog post) that will "provide transparency and share insights on our dev process".
Watch this space for more details.
Update - As noted by the latest news, the Assassin's Creed: Wrath of the Druids DLC will no longer release on 29th April, but instead May 13.
Original Story - The expansion launches on 29th April 2021 and will be available on all platforms, including Stadia, Luna and next-gen consoles.
Expansion 2, The Siege of Paris, is still without a release date.
Official DLC Description
According to Ubisoft, this is the official description of the Wrath of the Druids:
Explore the haunted wilds and beautiful landscapes of Ireland as you battle a druidic cult known as the Children of Danu. Conquer ring forts, master the art of smuggling, and gain the favor of Gaelic kings in a new open-world adventure.
We do not know much about this DLC as of yet.
We're going to have to take on a new set of cultists. Unfortunately, there aren't any specifics on who these enemies are, but we'll probably know more further towards release.
Druids were religious leaders, so expect our paths to cross paths with them – potentially leaning into the more mystical elements of the base game.
We'll also be getting a new hub city, Dublin, that features new trading for the player to get involved with.
Ubisoft has not posted an official price for the DLC yet, but we do know you can get it as part of the game's season pass for $39.99 or £33.99.
The Ostara Season is a free update that launched on 18th March 2021.
This update brings new cosmetics and aesthetics to specific areas of the map.
With special rewards, quests and activities players now have much more opportunity to earn the gear they want.
We're excited to see how Ubisoft expand upon this season with the next expansion!
