Xbox One February System Update Preview

With 2015 well and truly upon us, Microsoft have spared no time returning to their responsibilities,  as they usher in the new year with the unsuspecting revelation of the details surrounding the latest system update for the Xbox One.

Xbox One preview program members are currently able to access the new features implemented by Microsoft, while remaining community members will have to patiently await the universal update, expected to launch in early February.

The update itself boasts a plethora of alterations, from tile transparency to added TV trending regions. However, undoubtedly, the most significant revision seems to be the addition of a new feature titled ‘Game Hubs’.

Within every game listed in the Xbox One catalogue, users are now able to access a central hub, allowing you to compare a variety of in-game statistics with those of your friends and community members, while also providing you with the option to launch a game with selected apps automatically snapped on screen.

As well as this, players are presented with the opportunity to view an algorithmically generated list of the most popular Twitch broadcasters for your specific game.

Larry Hryb, Xbox Live's Major Nelson interviewed Richard Irving from the Xbox Engineering team to discuss the February Xbox One update. Alternatively, a full list of the upcoming feature can be found below.
