- Quick Answer: WoW: Forever adds four new zones integrated into original Azeroth, featuring Zephras Isle in beta and three additional regions launching on November 4.
As most WoW fans already know, World of Warcraft: Forever is set in the original 2004 Azeroth. So you might be surprised to learn we're actually getting some new zones.
Instead of dropping a new continent, World of Warcraft: Forever weaves its new territory directly into the original map. With the new regional additions, revamped territories, and overhauled transit routes, playing Forever requires a new travel strategy.
Want to know about the new zones (and more)? Here's all the information.
All The New Zones in World of Warcraft: Forever
World of Warcraft: Forever features four new zones. However, only one of them is available during the beta period - and that's Zephras Isle.

Here are all the new zones in WoW Forever:
- Zephras Isle
- The Riverglades
- Shen'Dralas
- Mount Hyjal
Zephras Isle is the only one available right now. It is the home starting territory for the new Skyborne Race and features skywall architecture and elemental ruins. Set for levels 1-12, High Order Skyborne departs at level 12 toward the Alliance Territory, while Windshape Skyborne connect to Horbe hubs.
Zephras Isles and low-to-mid level zones (levels 1-30) are all available at beta. The Excavation Site: Wetlands is available as part of the mid-tier level 30 cap rollout.

The Riverglades (Levels 35-45), Shen'Dralas (Levels 45-53), and Mount Hyjal (Level 60 Endgame) will all arrive on November 4, when the game fully launches. These are all mid-to-high-level zones. The Riverglades is the major new frontier zone bridging Eastern Kingdoms mid-leveling, while Shen'Dralas is the new Highborne/centaur territory between Mulgore and Desolace.
Mount Hyjal will open at launch for max-level questing, world events, and Cenarion Circle. Raid Hubs in Mount Hyjal will open officially shortly after launch.
Expanded Classic Zones & New Transit Options
To keep travel smooth without flying mounts, World of Warcraft: Forever revamps several classic leveling grounds and adds new ferry connections.

The Wetlands (Levels 20-29) features over 25 new quests, updated leveling flow, and the Excavation Site: Wetlands dungeon. Additionally, Desolace and starting zones have been upgraded with campsites, expanded local quests, and early profession hooks. The new centaur faction questlines connect directly to Shen'Dralas.
There are several new ship and transport routes in WoW Forever. These are:
- Stormwind Harbor to Auberdine: Connects low-level Alliance players across continents, allowing people playing on Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor to meet up.
- Menethil Harbor to Southshore to Auberdine: A three-stop ferry loop bridging the gap between mid-level leveling hubs across the Wetlands, Hillsbrad Foothills, and Darkshore.
- Tanaris to Powderfuse Port: A direct route linking Steamwheedle Cartel territory in southern Kalimdor straight to the coast of the new Riverglades zone.
