- Quick Answer: Open Battle.net, select World of Warcraft, change the Game Version dropdown to WoW Forever, and click Install to pre-load the client.
World of Warcraft: Forever is set to launch on November 4, and the last thing you want to experience is waiting on a slow download while everyone is hopping into the servers.
If you have an active WoW subscription, you can already pre-load Forever. This is the best way to ensure that the moment the game launches in your time zone, you'll be able to hop in.
Here's how to do it.
How to Pre-Load World of Warcraft: Forever
You can pre-load World of Warcraft: Forever through your Battle.net desktop app.

Open (or download) the Battle.net app. Head over to the Games tab and search for "World of Warcraft". Select the WoW icon and select the Game Version dropdown/selector and make sure WoW Forever is selected.

Alternatively, you can go to the Favorites bar and look for World of Warcraft.
Once there, click the Install button. You'll be able to pre-install the game (and if you pre-ordered one of the Skyborne packs, be able to create a character and name them!) so you're ready for launch.
You can also select auto-update in case any updates arrive before the launch date.
The title is exclusively available on PC and supports both Windows and macOS.
