Modern Warfare 4 is the next entry in the Call of Duty franchise, continuing where things left off after the events of the Modern Warfare 3 campaign. Infinity Ward is back as the main developer, and the game will arrive in October.

Will Modern Warfare 4 Be Added to Xbox Game Pass?

Unfortunately, Modern Warfare 4 won't be available on Xbox Game Pass from Day One. Although Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7 were added to the subscription at launch, it won't be the same for the new title.

Due to the price reduction to the Xbox Game Pass tiers applied in April, future Call of Duty games won't be added to the subscription on Day One. Instead, every new game will get added a year after its release, during the next holiday season.

In other words, Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled to be added to Game Pass sometime at the end of 2027.

This decision resulted in a price drop for the Ultimate and the PC Game Pass tiers, which, according to Xbox, has been something positive as they have seen the number of subscribers rise since then.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled to go live on Friday, October 23, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through Steam and Battle.net.

Players don't have to wait that long to try the game, as Infinity Ward confirmed that anyone who pre-orders a copy (digital or not) will receive early access to the campaign starting on October 16.
