My guess is that Persona 6 will focus on Japanese folk horror and occult themes. Instead of solving actual crimes or acting as vigilantes, the characters will instead try to solve supernatural mysteries. Maybe they’ll even become amateur ghost hunters?
Features a Japanese High School in a Modern (Yet Eerie) Prefecture
From what we’ve seen of the leaks, the protagonist of Persona 6 is a blonde-haired male high school student.
Like the previous Persona games, it’s highly likely Persona 6 will also feature a Japanese high school. Some rumors suggest Yokohama due to its deep folklore culture. If my theory on occult themes is right, it wouldn’t be surprising if this proves to be true.
Dual Protagonists
Leaks have also suggested that, alongside the blonde male, there is a black-haired girl. While unconfirmed, leaks suggest that instead of having one protagonist, we may have two.

Historically, Persona has featured male protagonists. While girls would eventually join the party, the MC was always a high school boy. Having dual protagonists would be amazing, as it would be the first time having a female central character and the ability to explore the daily life of more than one person.
Evolved Confidant System
In Persona 5, building your Confidant level with other characters allows you to build your skills. The higher the Confidant level, the better the skills you get.
I believe Persona 6 will still have this Confidant system, but feature a more evolved version. I think building your relationship with characters will directly affect the narrative, such as altering the dungeon routing. We might even get multiple endings based on your different Confidant levels.
