Warzone Getting an Operator Toggle to Disable Non-MW4 Skins

With only a month to go before the release of Modern Warfare 4, Activision has announced a new feature for Warzone that will make many users happy.

The feature in question is a new Operator Toggle that will disable any non-MW4 operator. In other words, when a player has this setting on, all other players will have a Modern Warfare 4 operator skin in place of any operator skin from another Call of Duty title (From MW3 to Black Ops 7).

The setting will be off by default and will apply to all other players, including party members and squadmates, both in the lobby and during a match. This option won't affect the player's own operator skin, as they will be able to see the one selected even if it's from another game.

The Operator Toggle setting will launch when Season 1 of Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone releases, which is expected to arrive in November or at the beginning of December.

As part of this announcement, Activision also confirmed that operators and weapons from Modern Warfare II to Black Ops 7 will remain available in Warzone once Season 1 starts and the Modern Warfare 4 integration takes place.

However, gunsmith functionality and prior custom loadouts won't be supported for legacy weapons and blueprints. A five-attachment base version will be available for each legacy weapon, and any blueprint will adapt to those attachments.

Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled to come out on Friday, October 23, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through Steam and Battle.net. The early access campaign period starts on October 16 for anyone who pre-orders the title.
