- Quick Answer: Black Ops Royale will go live one day after the Season 2 Reloaded update arrives in Warzone.
Black Ops Royale is the most important addition coming to Warzone with the Season 2 Reloaded update. The mode has been designed with Blackout in mind, recreating many features from the Call of Duty franchise's attempt in the genre.
With that in mind, it's logical that many want to try out this mode first after Season 2 Reloaded goes live. To get you up to speed and so you can prepare accordingly, we have all the details about the mode's release timing.
What Time Does Black Ops Royale Come Out in Warzone?
Black Ops Royale launches on Thursday, March 12, at 9:00 PM PT or Friday, March 13, at 4:00 AM GMT. Although Season 2 Reloaded starts on March 11 in Warzone, players will have to wait a day to experience the new Blackout mode.
This will be a new permanent mode, meaning it will stay around alongside the other standard modes regardless of the season.

Once Black Ops Royale launches on March 12/March 13, the following playlist will go live:

As you can see, the standard battle royale mode will be removed for the time being, meaning Black Ops Royale will become the main attraction, at least for a few days.
Only Quads will be available at the start, and many users questioned the decision online. Shortly after, Raven Software posted the following response:
"Because this is such a fresh experience... we chose to launch with a single mode based on the squad size that has proven to be the most popular across all of our other modes."
"For now, our focus is on understanding how players feel about the core experience," expressed the studio, and promised to keep an eye on the feedback. With this in mind, players will probably have to wait a few days, maybe even a week, until the developers enable more squad sizes for this mode.
