With Act 6 nearing its end and the first act of Season 2026 starting soon for Valorant players, a new Competitive map pool is set to go live, bringing a map we haven't seen for a while.

For the game's Competitive playlists, Riot selects a handful of maps to include in the pool and leaves a few out. With this system, developers can work on inactive maps, whether to fix an issue, add new stuff, or modify their layout.

We have gathered all the information you need to know about the current map pool in case you don't know what maps are in the game.

What is the Valorant map pool?

The game features two separate map pools, one for Competitive, Deathmatch, and Premier queues, and another for the remaining game modes. Here is how the map pools are organized after patch 10.11:

Unrated, Swift Play, Spike Rush, and Escalation map pool

All maps are available when queueing up for the casual game modes. This change was implemented after the arrival of patch 8.11, switching things up and allowing players to enjoy every map the game has to offer.

Competitive, Deathmatch, and Premier map pool

The competitive playlists still feature a restricted map pool, and here is the complete list of maps available on all platforms:

  • Sunset

The latest change went live at the beginning of Season 2025 Act 6 with patch 11.08, where Ascent and Lotus were removed, while Pearl and Split got added to fill the gap.

Now that 2026 is underway, Riot has confirmed that the next change will arrive at the start of Season 2026 Act 1. For this occasion, Breeze will enter the map pool after being absent for so long and replace Sunset.

We will update this article whenever changes are announced or go live in the game to reflect the correct map set.
