In a statement posted on the game's social media, they stated that September has become "absolutely stacked with incredible looking games." Because of the number of games coming out in September, they've opted to move their launch date.
They tell players it's "to give Valor Mortis (and your wallet) some room to breathe."

Though the game has been delayed, its demo is officially live on Steam. Thanks to the amount of feedback they've received from players, they'll use the time to improve the game and make it the best it could be at launch.
