Treyarch Will Deliver the Next Call of Duty Instalment

Treyarch have been revealed as the development studio behind the next Call of Duty, set for release this fall.

The announcement was made during Activision’s 4th earnings conference call for investors. Treyarch follow last year's Advanced Warfare, made by the newly formed team at Sledgehammer Games.

Treyarch's previous credits include World at War and Black Ops 1 and 2, and are considered by many to be the A-Team when it comes to Call of Duty releases.

Rumours have been swirling for a while, of course. The team are strongly rumoured to be working on Black Ops 3, although there is also suggestion that they may be going back to World War 2 with a second World at War game. Nobody actually knows for sure.

It's interesting to note that this will be Treyarch’s first three-year development cycle on a Call of Duty game. which Activision’s CEO says, “will be loaded with innovation"

Unfortunately, that's about all we know. The Activision CEO merely states... "we’re excited to share more details with our community soon.”

Speculation seems to point to a pre-E3 reveal in May. Ghosts was previously revealed during an exclusive reveal event on May 21st in 2013. Advanced Warfare was also revealed late May/early June last year.
