- Quick Answer: A new trailer has given us a look at Kunimitso's moves in Tekken 8, which arrives this month.
Kunimitsu is the next DLC character coming to Tekken 8, and a gameplay trailer was unveiled this weekend at EVO Japan 2026.
The Phantom Thief officially returns to the franchise, and although the character with that name originally debuted in the first Tekken game in 1994, the current iteration is the daughter of the original Kunimitsu. She is sometimes referred to as Kunimitsu II.
The trailer showcases most of her abilities, while mostly using her base skin with the white/gold outfit. She will come with three other skins, which are shown at the end of the video. We can also see that the character's fox mask style can vary, depending on the skin equipped.
In case you haven't watched it or if you want to give it another look, here is the trailer:
All Season 3 Character Pass owners will get early access to her on May 27, while the rest of the players will have to wait until June 1 to try her out.
Her return was originally revealed in February of this year at the Tekken World Tour Finals 2025, where Bandai Namco detailed the content plan for the game's Season 3.

Kunimitsu is the first character coming during this season, with Bob and Roger Jr. arriving in Summer and Autumn of this year, respectively. On top of that, players will receive a new Battle Stage and the Aurora Outfit Pack, which contains 44 skins for the different characters.
Season 3 kicked off in March of this year with a rank reset and balance adjustments to refine the game's current experience.
